講起日本後搖，絕不能不提被譽為最具影響力，於1999年成立的東京器樂後搖樂隊Mono，至今超過了150場演出，英國NME 雜誌就曾用“諸神的美樂”形容Mono創作的作品，令人如臨雲端，有聽過的朋友應該都深切感受過，Mono擅長將細膩的管弦樂融入Shoegaze迷幻元素，一層層遞進式展現Mono獨特而矌闊的內心世界。

「如果你想描繪光，那就必須凝視黑暗」 — Mono的歌曲和其他後搖不同的是，異於荒蕪的末日頹廢感，感覺似是力竭聲嘶過後的重生世界，是帶有溫柔力量的光芒，經歷苦難後的體會，以器樂和音效營造出黑暗通往光亮真摰的的隧道，傳遞突破靈魂的感動。
